Daisy Data Displays manufacture high quality computers, monitors, and keyboards suitable for use in environments that are hazardous to normal technology, or just plain dirty. The 6900 Series Keyboards are made from a NEMA 4X steel enclosure, with an embossed membrane keyboard.
6900 Series hazardous keyboards are also available with FM approvals, Class I, II, and III, Division 1 and 2, Groups A-G, and can be ordered with either USB or PS/2 connections, and an optional built-in pointing device in a MicroJoystick, or TuffPoint industrial mouse. All of these options are available as a desktop model, a panel mountable model, or in a rack mountable version.
6900 Series Keyboards for Any Industry
The various ratings and approvals earned by the 6900 Series keyboards means that they are suitable for just about any environment you can imagine. They are mostly used for production lines in dirty factories, where any normal keyboard would quickly be destroyed by falling sparks, dirt getting inside the keys, or any other environmental hazard. The rugged and robust design of the 6900 Series also means that they are ideal for fixed locations on oil rigs.
The ruggedized and well protected design of the keyboards mean they would also make ideal additions to any systems in a clean environment, for food production, or for research in a lab.
So Many Options
The 6900 Series of keyboards can be configured in several different ways, which is why we have not provided a price for them. The choices you have when ordering can be summed up into three categories – mounts, pointing devices, and safety features.
Mounts represents how you attach your Daisy Data keyboard to your systems and production lines, the options being standalone, rack mount, panel mount, or OEM, to allow you to install the keyboard into your own console.
You can also have the NEMA 4X rated TuffPoint pointing device built into the keyboard

FM Approved non-incendive models provide hazardous area protection for Class I, II & III, Division 2, Group A-D, F&G or FM Approved intrinsically safe models provide hazardous area protection for Class I, II & III, Division 1 & 2, Group C-G.
